Prevented Ocean Plastic™ supplied almost 500 refillable bottles made from our material to the ITTF World Youth Championships 2024 in Sweden.
The tournament brought together the best players from the under-19 and under-15 categories, competing for 14 different titles. Young players and event staff were supplied with a bottle upon arrival to the hosting Helsingborg Arena.

A distinguished British Para table tennis athlete, Martin Perry has risen to prominence not only for his athletic achievements but also for his steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability. In June 2024, Martin was appointed as one of the inaugural Table Tennis Planet Ambassadors in recognition for his dedication to promoting sustainable practices. Martin’s advocacy extends to encouraging fellow athletes and sports organizations to adopt sustainable practices, like promoting the use of reusable materials within the sports community, while highlighting the importance of environmental responsibility.
In Perry’s words, “I am very fortunate to be a brand ambassador for Prevented Ocean Plastic which allows me to spread the word of the incredible work that they do as well as leading conversations to living a more sustainable lifestyle within elite sport.”
There’s an intrinsic link between sport and sustainability. Many athletes have used their platforms to raise awareness about environmental and social issues, and to advocate for change.
